We meet from 3:35 until 4:45 PM in the LMC.
Session 1: Air
Experiment with air-powered rocket “fuels”, optimize paper gliders, and create parachutes with the longest hang times.
Session 2: Material Science Challenge
Perform tests to determine the properties of various building and insulating materials. Then design and build a shipping container with the lowest weight to keep an item very cold and withstand physical damage.
Want to join in the fun? Then complete and return the registration form as soon as possible.

Owls Play Outdoors (f.k.a. Camp Fit)
Our focus is on making exercise fun and helping kids understand the importance of being active. We also want to give them a variety of fitness activities to participate in so every child can enjoy being active and achieve a new personal goal. We play familiar PE games in order to create a fun club that kids want to participate in. Students improve their fitness goals and work to complete a 5K or more equivalent for running laps. If you are interested is leading this committee, please contact us.
Chess Club
We’re excited to welcome students to Chess Club this year! ♟️

Ecology Club
Meets once a month after school in the LMC. It’s a fun group that devotes all of its time to applying the 3R’s (reducing, recycling and reusing waste), appreciating nature and planning the Earth Fair for the school. We represent the environmental conscience of the school. This club is open to students in third through fifth grades (and younger siblings of those students). We welcome new participants all year long. If you are interested is leading this committee, please contact us.

Bike Rodeo and Safety
All 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and up are welcome to participate in Bike Rodeo each year. The event is held after school out on the blacktop in early September. The students receive a safety lesson from the AH police department and then run through many stations assessing their bike riding ability (stopping, riding slowly, weaving, turns, etc). All students also go through a helmet check for proper fit. Participation in the Bike Rodeo is required for students to be able to ride their bike to school on their own. Registration is required.
Student Council
4th & 5th graders are invited to join the Student Council. As part of student council, students will help create our Student Council Bulletin, design PTA event materials, and participate in seasonal service projects!
4th & 5th students may sign up for up to 2 meetings.

Reflections
Reflections is a National PTA program which welcomes all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts. Annually, thousands of students will reflect on a common theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. Here at Olive-Mary Stitt, the Reflections committee will promote and manage the PTA Reflections Art Program by raising awareness of the program within the school, promoting participation by the Olive students, submitting entries to the district PTA, and recognizing all entrants.
Let your creativity shine! The Reflections art competition is now open. Students are invited to participate in the 2026–27 PTA Reflections Art Contest and explore this year’s theme: “What My Culture Means to Me”
Students can express their ideas through Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Music Composition, Film Production, or Dance Choreography. Entries should be original student-created work inspired by the theme. More information can be found on the website https://reflectionsartcontest.weebly.com/.
📅 Entry Deadline: November 20
