Box Tops October Challenge: Monday, October 16th – Friday, October 20th

It’s finally starting to feel like fall so that means its time for our October Box Top Challenge! Let’s take a break from raking leaves so we can rake in the cash for Olive Mary-Stitt!

Please send in all of the Box Tops that you have been clipping and saving, anytime next week. At the end of the week, each classroom’s Box Tops will be counted and the top 2 classrooms will get to pick a class prize (PJ day, extra recess, etc.)

Introducing JUST JUMP Fundraiser!

The OMS PTA is launching a new fundraiser this year called JUST JUMP which will engage all OMS students and their families. Students will be jumping for 10 minutes during P.E. class during the week of October 23-27. In order to support the meaningful activities the PTA sponsors each year, such as The Owl Way, Bingo Night, Activity Nights and many more, we are asking family members to sponsor their children with a monetary donation. All OMS students will have the opportunity to participate in JUST JUMP and sponsorship is optional.

Every OMS student will be coming home today with a JUST JUMP bag which includes the following:

1) JUST JUMP t-shirt (to be worn on the day your child jumps),
2) informational letter and
3) sponsorship form.

Yearbook – Now Available to Order

Olive-Mary Stitt is using TreeRing to make our yearbooks. Last year we made the switch to TreeRing for two reasons:

  • Custom Pages: Every student gets a one-of-a-kind printed copy of the yearbook, containing two free pages that they can customize with personal photos.
  • Buy a Book, Plant a Tree: TreeRing plants a tree in our school’s name whenever someone from our school purchases a yearbook. (And here’s a bonus: They print on recycled paper).

Our book this year will be forty-two pages, including the two free custom pages, printed fully in color. The cost is $13.00. Orders placed by September 30 receive a 15% discount.  October orders will receive a 10% discount.

In order to buy your book and start your custom pages, visit https://www.treering.com.  If you had a TreeRing account last year, you can use the same password to log into your account. Please add any new children that did not attend last year. If you do not have a TreeRing account from last year you will need to create one. You’ll want to have our school passcode handy. That number is 1014636724843184.  Please purchase a yearbook for each child so they can each have a book to sign the last week of school.

House Hop 6th Annual Progressive Dinner

HOUSE-hop-info-sheetWe hope you can join us at this awesome Annual Event! Swoop from house to house as you enjoy an evening of laughter, hors d’oeuvers and drinks while you meet and reconnect with fellow Olive-Mary Stitt Parents.
If you have not attended before, we start by having you meet us at the school for house assignments, then off to your first house at 7:00 to enjoy and at 9:00 you travel to your second house. This is one of the Olive’s biggest fundraisers and a great time is had by all! 4th Annual Progressive Dinner

Please join us on Saturday, October 17, 2015 for our 4th annual Progressive Dinner. Enjoy food and drinks as you meet new OMS parents and reconnect with others. Come with a friend, spouse or yourself. Please use this form to register for the event. Spirit Wear Sale

Olive PTA Spirit Wear Sale begins today and runs through September 18th. There are a lot of items to choose from! Book Fair

This year we are excited to be partnering with a truly hassle-free fundraiser called Shoparoo! Just Move It Challenge

The Arlington Heights Council of PTAs and the ABC/25 Foundation invite everyone to join in the 5K Run/Walk and/or 1 mile Run/Walk on Saturday, April 11 at South Middle School. Thanks to the past support of our community and local businesses last year, we were able to raise $23,000 that will benefit the teachers and students of District 25. We had almost 1000 participants in attendance representing 9 schools in which over 500 of the runners were students. All proceeds will go to the Scholarship and Grant Fund, benefiting the education of School District 25 students. Mary Stitt 90th Birthday Celebration

Please be our guest and join us to celebrate Mary Stitt’s 90th birthday. Free Open Skate Night at Orbit Roller Rink in Palatine, Illinois on Thursday, April 9th from 6:30 – 9:00pm. This event is a birthday celebration and fundraiser to benefit Rotary’s Polio Foundation. Cash and check donations will be accepted at the door. Entry to the rink is free and skate rental is also free for the first 100 guests.

Plant Sale – Order deadline: February 27th!

Think spring and support the PTA and its many programs by purchasing a plant or two. PTA needs your help to continue to fund the many fun and enriching clubs, programs and special events your child enjoys year after year. Not only will your order support the PTA, but you will love the beautiful plants and flowers you receive! Culver’s Night – PTA Fundraiser

Enjoy a night off from cooking! On Tuesday, February 17th from 4-10 pm, Culver’s Restaurant in Arlington Heights will be donating a percentage of all dine-in and carry-out sales to our PTA. Box Tops / Labels for Education

It’s time again for Box Tops and Labels for Education collection! Our class challenge will run Feb. 9 – 20th. There will be a black shoebox in each classroom for the kids to drop them in. The winning class in K-2 and 3-5 will get to choose their reward. Contact Jen Greenwell with any questions.

ABC/25 Parking – Seating Raffle for February

Want a chance to win your own front row parking spot and priority seating for the First Grade concert February 12? Submit a raffle ticket for Event #1 by Tuesday, February 10. Manna Gift Card Fundraiser

Make sure you take advantage of this awesome opportunity to get gift cards for all those people on your lists and at the same time raise money for our PTA. The form that you can open below has over 300 vendors, almost any type and $ value you may want, for gifts or your own personal use—Jewel or Target for example. This would also be an easy way for room reps to get those teacher gifts for the class. To participate, print out the Manna Fundraiser form, choose your options, make your check payable to OMS-PTA and send it to school. All orders need to be in the office by Friday, December 5. ABC/25 Yankee Candle Sale

ABC/25 Yankee Candle sale began on 9/22. Catalogs were distributed at school on Friday, 9/19. Please return the order form and payment by 10/6. Checks should be made out to “ABC/25 Foundation”. Out of town family and friends can shop online and have their order shipped to them. Please note that students only earn prizes for items ordered on the hard copy order form, not on online orders. Dislike lining up an hour prior to your child’s show? Hate trying to find a parking spot during drop off/pick up? Now’s your chance to have both! ABC/25 is raffling off chances to win front row seating & parking for all of the grade-level events. Winners can show up a few minutes prior, park in their designated spots and have an unobstructed view of their child from the front row!
