Local Elections Coming Up on April 4

Local elections are coming up on April 4. The elections will include positions on School District 25’s Board of Education, as well as District 214’s Board of Education and Village of Arlington Heights trustees. 4 positions are open on the D25 Board and 7 candidates are running to fill those positions. 4 of the 7 are current board members whose term is expiring, and the other 3 are candidates running for the first time. There are two candidate forum events coming up where you can meet the candidates and learn more about them.

1. Tuesday, February 28 from 6:30-9pm at the Arlington Heights Historical Society (110 W. Fremont). D214 candidates will also be at this event

2. Saturday, March 11 from 9:30-11am at the Arlington Heights Village Hall. A Village Trustee forum will follow at 11am. This particular forum is sponsored by the League of Women Voters and the A.H. Council of PTAs. Please CLICK HERE for more information.

Local elections impact us far more than federal elections, and these forums are great opportunities to become informed on the candidates that will directly affect policy in our school district, our local high school district, and our town of Arlington Heights.
